Jean Marais is a senior mining executive, operating partner, and technical consultant with more than 30 years of leadership experience across mining operations, commodities, digital transformation, and large-scale operational turnarounds. He has held C-suite and board-level roles with global P&L accountability exceeding USD 2.1 billion and has led organisations employing up to 5,000 people.

He has worked across 23 African countries, as well as Europe and the Middle East, advising multinational mining companies, investors, and governments on technical mining performance, operational excellence, ESG-aligned mine lifecycle management, digital enablement, and complex asset transitions. His experience spans mine planning, cost optimisation, integrated business planning, ERP-enabled operations, and closure readiness under international standards.

As Senior Mining Advisor, Operating Partner, and Technical Consultant for MiningPro, Jean ensures the platform is delivered with deep technical insight, real-world operational leadership, and board-level credibility—bridging strategy, technology, and execution in complex mining environments.

Dr. Devarajan is  one of India’s leading exploration geologists with nearly four decades of experience in India and abroad.  He began his career with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) in  1989 and transitioned to the private sector in 2006.

He headed the exploration department of Geomysore Services, Bangalore, India, between 2014 and 2019. He planned and executed the resource drilling in the Jonnagiri gold project in India, followed by Feasibility Studies.

Dr. Devarajan has also conducted exploration and resource drilling programs for gold in the Lake Victoria Gold Field of Tanzania, and the Birimian belt of  Mali and Burkina Faso.    Devarajan has worked with industry leaders in the geological interpretation and target generation using aero-geophysical data for two of India’s aero-geophysical survey blocks.
